Apple today announced the latest operating system for all of its platforms during WWDC. Apple supports older phone models due to the robustness of its custom Apple Silicon Chips. This can mean a longer than usual return of investment for your device.

Android however offers just three year support for its handset. Part of this can be attributed to Apple designing both the hardware and the software experience.
