Apple released iOS and iPadOS 14.5.1 update with a fix for the newly released App Tracking Transparency from iOS 14.5 feature that is greyed out for some users.

Apple says that the update fixes an issue with App Tracking Transparency where some users who previously disabled “Allow Apps to Request to Track” in the Settings app may not receive prompts from apps after re-enabling it.

macOS Big Sur 11.3 has been released as well and it contains security fixes for two zero-day vulnerabilities in WebKit that Apple says may have been exploited. The first vulnerability is caused by a memory corruption issue while the other is rooted in an integer overflow. The update weighs 2.4GB in our M1 MacBook Pro.

The firmware updates are available as an over-the-air (OTA) update and can be triggered by going to Settings > General > Software Update. We recommend users to update their phones to fix security vulnerabilities and minor bugs from the latest 14.5 update.
